Foldable smartphones have been the center of talks for a few years already but did not succeed to come into reality as of today because a high rate of failure at the production of the screen, not to mention manufacturers trying to create a battery at can be folded as well.
Well, it seems we got some good news ahead as rumors say Samsung Galaxy X is to release by no later than Q2 of 2019 a three 3.5-inch screens model, following what on 2011 was revealed as a prototype of the class.
Besides the need to overcome the problems a foldable screen might bring in, sided by those by a foldable battery, Samsung shall be able to secure internal components of a phone from breaking or getting damaged while folding.
We need to understand as well, that once developed and decided upon as for “go with it”, mobile industry manufacturing infrastructure may need to adapt to mass production and maybe “fold” as well.
At the reading of Samsung patents, it is understood Samsung “will do it” and the question that remain unanswered is “when we will see it?”
Do not think Samsung is alone in the race. LG Is too, as their filed patent clearly refers to plans for a device with flexible screen that can fold into half. The device is referred as of the type that can be folded open and be used as a tablet.
Apple? ZTE? Are their working on foldable smartphones? You bet they are! As Dan Brown said ” Everything is possible. The impossible takes longer”
