Adobe has launched a new Logo to identify images and content created or edited using AI tools. The company collaborated with many partners like BBC, Microsoft, Nikon and Truepic to develop a  solution called Content Credentials. Adobe uses this solution to add data about the source of an image, video or PDF file to metadata. This will indicate whether an AI algorithm was used in the creation or editing process of the data file.

Relevant data will be automatically added to Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. Microsoft also plans to provide support in Bing Image Creator. When an app or browser (implemented using JavaScript) that supports this feature displays content, a LOGO in the form of lowercase letters “cr” will appear in the upper right corner of the image.

After the user clicks on it, a popup appears with information about the image. Users can also upload the files in question to a special website, where the necessary metadata will appear. Adobe isn’t the only company making good on its promise to offer AI-powered content tagging. Google has previously launched its own solution called SynthID. Recently, American scientists refuted the effectiveness of this method, arguing that it would not be difficult to falsify metadata.
