In recent times, it seems that Apple is becoming more active in its marketing strategy. They recently cooperated with the short video social software, TikTok, to provide a four-month free trial period for Apple Music. Apple is launching a new event on TikTok, which provides a 4-month free trial period for users who subscribe to Apple Music through the iOS platform TikTok app. Furthermore, the ad uses TikTok’s viral music to promote Apple Music playlists and then provides users with a free trial period.

The offer must be redeemed with a valid Apple ID. According to reports, TikTok also promotes Apple Music products through application notifications. The event will last until January 2021 and is valid in several different countries. Obviously, it is a bit longer than the normal three-month free trial period. TikTok’s audience may be young people who love music, and this can be considered a relatively accurate marketing campaign.

Apple plans to increase iPhone production by 30% in the first half of 2021

The iPhone 12 series is selling out swiftly in multiple markets. This shows that the supply of these devices is hardly adequate. However, Apple will do something about the production for not just iPhone 12 series but the entire iPhone lineup. The company recently announced that it will increase iPhone production by 30% in the first half of next year. This means that it will increase the iPhone production to 96 million units from January 2021 to June 2021.

With the stagnation of its major rival Huawei, Apple will take advantage. It will use the iPhone 12 series to achieve a big leap in sales. Nihon Keizai Shimbun data shows that benefiting from the iPhone 12 series and nearly 90% of the iPad and other technology products, 19 major IT enterprise suppliers from Taiwan, achieved total sales of NT$1454.1 billion in November. This new high will promote prosperity in the entire industry.

Earlier news from the industry points out that the 5nm capacity utilization rate by TSMC for Apple’s A14 chip foundry in the first quarter of next year has dropped from the current 100% to 80%. Some in the industry worry that this means that the demand for the iPhone 12 series is lower than expected. Well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, believes that this is the result of seasonal adjustment. The previous 100% estimate was only the result of over-optimism, and the current situation is conducive to the recent stock price rebound.
