Back in March, Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, announced the Huawei P40 series with its latest EMUI 10.1 system. This new system comes with better AI intelligence and upgrades in photography. While many Huawei phones are yet to get the EMUI 10.1 update, the company is already preparing its users for the next big update, EMUI 11.

EMUI 11 appears on Huawei Application Store

Huawei recently updated the membership center of the Huawei Application Store for Chinese users. The update comes with some information about EMUI 11. In the description, the update adds the phrase “optimizations for EMUI 11 styles”.

There are reports that the EMUI 11 system will be on top of Google’s Android 11 system. The latest Huawei software user interface will come with a large number of new functions. One of the core features is that it will deeply integrate HMS.

The general expectation is that EMUI 11 will arrive with the Huawei Mate 40 series. However, the likes of Huawei P40 series and Mate 30 series will be one of the earliest devices to get the beta update. These updates should arrive in the third/fourth quarter of this year. In fact, there is more specific speculation that claims that EMUI 11 will arrive in September.

This year, Android 11 will still focus on privacy protection, notification optimization, and battery life improvement. It will also focus on a plethora of features that will make the system more fluent.

According to Huawei’s official website, the company will hold a user conference in Suzhou on July 2. Also, Huawei has another conference in Shanghai scheduled for September. While we expect to get some information about EMUI11 at the July conference, the September conference will be a good time to release the update. Moreso, Huawei’s September conference coincides with Google’s timeline for Android 11 release.

As of now, Google’s Android 11 is still in testing. The third developer’s preview hit the road some days ago. The first and second developers preview arrived in February and March respectively.
