Samsung already has a plethora of devices under its budget Galaxy M smartphone alone. For the last two years, the chaebol has been expanding its Galaxy M lineup by adding new devices. For instance, we saw the Galaxy M40 being the powerful Galaxy M device in 2019 and that changed in 2020 when the smartphone maker introduced its Galaxy M51. Well, it looks like the same will happen in the coming year i.e. 2021 with the Galaxy M62 smartphone.

Samsung working on the most powerful Galaxy M62 smartphone!

According to a new report by SamMobile, Samsung seems to be working on a new Galaxy M smartphone dubbed Galaxy M62. The report further adds that the M62 might be the company’s most popular smartphone for the year 2021. While there is no official confirmation on the moniker, the device will indeed arrive with the model number SM-M625F. Looking at the model number, the Galaxy M62 moniker makes more sense.

With that said, the smartphone will arrive with a whopping 256GB of onboard storage. This will make it the first Galaxy M phone to pack in this much amount of built-in storage. It is safe to assume that the device will have more storage configurations possibly ranging from 64GB to the highest 256GB memory. Since this is the first time we’re hearing about the smartphone, most of the information remains scarce.

To recall, the Galaxy M51 packs a monstrous 7,000 mAh battery capacity taking the battery game to the next level for the series. Well, it looks like the M62 might take things up a notch as well but for the memory configurations. It would be interesting to see whether a 256GB budget smartphone will attract more consumers or not. We’re expecting the device to follow all the latest trends such as a quad-camera module on the back, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and more. We might also see the latest One UI 3.0 software based on the Android 11 operating system.

With that said, we can expect more information to surface on the web in the coming months as the device is still quite far away from its official launch. The Galaxy M62 smartphone will of course see its official launch next year in 2021. Coming to the specs, it might share the hardware from the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. We’re just speculating here so you should take this with a pinch of salt.
