Chinese manufacturer, Honor, will release its latest flagship series, Honor 50 series on June 16th. The selling points of this series include its 108MP camera, 100W super-fast charging, and 1 billion color super curved screens. Earlier today, the company officially sent out invites for its upcoming event. Let’s take a look at the invitation.
The text in the invite roughly translates to
“With a ring that symbolizes eternity, the fusion of technology and fashion, to you. A moment of beauty is eternity. On June 16, you are invited to witness”.
The conference will be held at 19:30 on June 16 at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. The theme as shown in the invitation letter is “Beauty, it’s a hit.”
Surprisingly, there is also a ring in the invitation letter. The ring is made with a golden metal texture as well as a strip of threads on the periphery. The word “HONOR” is also engraved on the sides of the ring, and the word “HONOR” engraved on the side.
The attached card reveals the origin of this ring . It turns out that it evolved from a camera lens and also symbolizes the extra-large ring lens of the Honor 50 series.
In the official renderings, the Honor 50 series has two ring lens groups. This smartphone comes with one large main camera on the top, three auxiliary cameras, and a flash light.
For the first time, Honor will use a 108MP sensor on its smartphone. The company claims that this sensor will offer faster-shooting speed and better color performance.
Honor 50 series confirmations and speculations
Honor has since confirmed that the Honor 50 series will arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip. In addition, there are speculations that the Pro+ model will come with the Snapdragon 888 flagship chip. However, there is no confirmation to this report. From the reports so far, the Honor 50 series will have at least three models. This series will have the Honor 50 SE, Honor 50, and Honor 50 Pro. According to the company, all the models in this series are thin and light devices. Furthermore, these devices will support a 66W fast charge for the low models. However, the Pro+ model should use 100W fast charging.
There are not many hardware details of this series, however, it will come in at least three colour options. The Honor 50 series will have green, orange gradient, and blue-violet gradient colour options. It appears that this series will come with a periscope, outsole main camera, and an ultra-wide angle camera combination.
