Up to now, the Amazfit smartwatch series of Huami Technology has formed three product lines. The basic line includes the Amazfit Bip Lite and the Amazfit Verge Lite. The smart sports watch series include the Amazfit Pace, Stratos / Pace 2, and the Amazfit 2S sports watch. The third group of smartwatches includes the Amazfit Verge, Sports Watch 2 Standard Version, and Smartwatch 2 ECG Version. According to official data, the total shipment of Huami-branded smartwatches has exceeded 3 million units. The total number of smartwatches and smart sports watches has exceeded 1.5 million units. The total shipments of the three lines have exceeded 4.5 million units.
In the first quarter of 2019, Huami Technology’s total revenue was 799.6 million yuan ($116.28 million), a year-on-year increase of 36.5%. The total shipments of various products were 500,000 units, an increase of 16.7% year-on-year. Among them, the self-owned brand Amazift contributed 330 million yuan ($47.99 million), accounting for 41% of total revenue, a year-on-year increase of 62%.
At present, Amazfit has reached second place in China’s adult watch market, with a market share of 17.1%. Interestingly, it’s the second only after Huawei. The latter takes 24.5% of the market. Yes, it’s higher than Apple’s 14.1%. Such an amazing performance helped the company rank fifth in the global smartwatch market with a share of 3.7%. Huami is beyond Huawei, Fossil, Garmin, and Apple.
