Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is currently struggling to survive in the smartphone market. Since the ban by the U.S., Huawei has been coping with a shortage of components. Against all odds, the company still released its latest flagship Huawei P50 series. However, this flagship smartphone only supports 4G network. Nevertheless, this smartphone is still very popular even though it is difficult to get. Huawei is very optimistic that it will bounce back in the smartphone market, The company has reiterated that it will not give up or sell its smartphone business. True to its words, the company is now working on its next flagship series, Huawei Mate 50.
The Huawei Mate 50 series was supposed to arrive in the second half of this year. However, this will not be the case considering the delay in the arrival of the Huawei P50 series. There are even reports that the company will cancel the Mate 50 series. This is probably not true considering the latest report. According to popular Weibo leakster, @DCS, Huawei is currently testing the Huawei Mate 50 series. He also claims that this device will use the model sm8425. This suggests that the company may use the latest Snapdragon 898 on the Mate 50 series. Obviously, this chip will be the 4G version just like with the P50 series.
The blogger did not directly say that he is referring to the Huawei Mate 50 series in his latest report. However, he called this smartphone a “business flagship”. Considering that Huawei does not release many flagships presently, he is most likely referring to the Huawei Mate 50 series.
