Towards the end of 2020, Huawei took the wraps off the Nova 8 series smartphones. Morever, the company unveiled two variants of the Nova 8 SE 5G smartphone. To recall, Huawei also announced the Huawei Nova 8 SE Youth with the Kirin 710A chipset earlier this year.
Now, fresh information coming from a noted leaker suggests that a 4G-enabled Nova 8 SE smartphone is right around the corner. If this proves to be true, the well-received smartphone series will be getting a well-deserved incremental refresh before this year comes to an end. However, it is still unclear whether the Nova 8 SE 4G variant will see the light of the day in India and other regions. Aside from that, details about the Huawei Nova 8 SE 4G smartphone’s launch timeline are still scarce.
Huawei Nova 8 SE 4G Specifications (Expected)
As mentioned, two variants of the Nova 8 SE went official last year. The model without 5G connectivity featured the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC. Now, according to a Weibo post from leaker WhyLab, Huawei is on the verge of refreshing the device by announcing another model that ships with a Kirin processor. For those who are unaware, the Kirin SoC is Huawei’s custom SoC. Furthermore, several devices from the company pack the aforesaid chipset under the hood.
The Nova 8 SE 4G will reportedly draw power from a powerful Kirin 710A SoC, which was announced back in 2018. This relatively older chipset will be supported by 8GB of RAM. Moreover, the handset is likely to offer a decent onboard storage capacity of 128GB. Aside from that, the phone could get its juices from a robust 3,800 mAh battery that supports fast 66W charging.
