Huawei will hold a press conference on December 23 where it will launch a series of new products. We expect the company to release the Huawei Watch D that supports blood pressure measurement at this event. The company may also announce the Huawei Mate V (tentative name), Bluetooth glasses, smart screens, and other products. Following the previous renderings and the exposure of the packaging box, the real image of the Huawei Watch D is now online.
The real images are consistent with the previous renderings. This smartwatch supports blood pressure monitoring. It uses a square dial with a slightly curved screen edge and the right side has all the buttons. The two physical buttons on the right side are the Health and Home buttons.
The smartwatch supports measuring the wearer’s high blood pressure, low blood pressure, and pulse. This device comes with a sort of “pressure bag” inside the watch that stimulates real blood pressure measurement. There are reports that the data of this watch will be pretty accurate. Not only that, the watch also supports the ECG electrocardiogram measurement function. The Huawei Watch D will most likely come with the HarmonyOS system.
At this year’s Huawei Pollen Annual Conference, He Gang, President of Huawei’s Consumer Business Mobile Phone Product Line, said that Huawei is currently developing wearable blood pressure measurement devices. The company will also start research on hypertension management with well-known Chinese institutions. It will explore innovative active health management of blood pressure for early intervention. In May of this year, He Gang announced that Huawei has made a breakthrough in the research of wearable devices that measures blood pressure. The first Huawei smartwatch that can measure blood pressure has passed the medical device registration test.
What Else To Expect?
Not too long ago, a leaker posted some promo images of the Huawei Watch D on Weibo. The Huawei Watch D has reportedly bagged the State Drug Administration Class II medical device registration certification. Huawei watches offer the best experience when used with the Huawei Health app. When the watch is paired with the application, it allows users to maintain a history of their blood pressure results, while monitoring improvements.
Regrettably, other details about the Huawei Watch D smartwatch are few and far between at the moment. However, more pieces of vital information about the smartwatch are likely to be revealed during the December 23 launch event. Aside from its new watch, Huawei could be unveiling a slew of other products at the upcoming event.
