iQOO Z5x has passed through Geekbench benchmarking site with key specifications, hinting at the phone’s imminent launch. iQOO brought its 5G=ready iQOO Z5 smartphone into the Indian and Chinese markets last month. The word on the street is that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will be unveiling a new Z-series smartphone, dubbed the iQOO Z5x soon.
An alleged iQOO Z5x made its appearance on the TENAA certification website recently. As expected, the listing divulged key specifications and images of the handset ahead of its official unveiling. A Vivo phone with model number V2131A passed through the TENAA certification platform recently. If the recently surfaced IMEI database listing is anything to go by, the same device will launch in China carrying the iQOO Z5x moniker. Now, it seems that the phone has arrived on Geekbench.
iQOO Z5x Arrives On Geekbench
On October 10, 91mobiles spotted a handset bearing model number V2131A on Geekbench. The phone’s recently surfaced listing gives us a glimpse of its software, RAM, chipset, and other key specifications. While nothing is set in stone yet, the phone’s arrival on TENAA and Geekbench certification websites suggest that it could launch soon. Earlier this month, the phone appeared on JD.com, further confirming that it could hit the store shelves later this month.
Specifications & Price (Expected)
The phone’s Geekbench listing suggests that iQOO will pack the Z5x with a MediaTek MT6877V/ZA chip. This alludes to the Dimensity 900 5G SoC. This piece of information corroborates earlier speculations fueled by a Google Play Console listing. The processor will be coupled with 6GB of RAM, according to the Geekbench listing. Furthermore, the TENAA certification listing hints at an 8GB RAM option. Aside from that, the phone is likely to run Android 11 out of the box.
If the TENAA listing is anything to go by, the phone’s dimensions are 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.5mm and it will weigh 169 grams. Moreover, the phone is tipped to sport a 6.58-inch display with an FHD+ resolution. In the optics department, the phone houses a 50MP main camera, along with a 2MP lens. Upfront, there’s an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
As far as pricing is concerned, the iQOO Z5x will be relatively cheaper than the iQOO Z5, considering its hardware configuration. The iQOO Z5 is currently available in India for a starting price of INR 23,990. The company will be announcing the iQOO Z5x in China soon. There is a possibility that it will not go official in India though.
