Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on the basis of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Similarly, MediaTek has released the Dimensity 9000 on the basis of the Dimensity 9000. Both processors use a TSMC 4nm process, X2 ultra-large core, and support 3.2GHz ultra-high frequency. After the release of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, there have been reports of MediaTek’s response to this chip. Just a day after the Dimensity 9000+ launch, this chip is now on GeekBench 5 running database. This chip comes with a single-core score of 1322 and a multi-core score of 4331.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ beats Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Compared with the results of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the Dimensity 9000+ leads by about 20 points for single-core and about 130 points for multi-core. Recall that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 comes with a single-core score of 1,311 and a multi-core score of 4,070. At present, the Dimensity 9000+ has just been born, and there is still a lot of room for optimization. In addition, the Dimensity 9000 itself has excellent high energy efficiency. The performance and energy efficiency of commercial terminals will be more advantageous. This means that the Dimensity 9000+ surpasses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in both single-core and multi-core performance. Thus, it is currently the strongest processor Android camp.
Based on the Dimensity 9000, the Dimensity 9000+ increases the frequency of a single super-core X2 from 3.05GHz to 3.2GHz. Furthermore, the three large-core A710s remain at 2.85GHz, and the four small-core A510s remain at 1.8GHz. Overall, the CPU comes with a 5% boost relative to the previous generation. It may not be much but remains an improvement.
The GPU is still a ten-core Mali-G710. Officials say that the overall performance increased by 10%. Other specifications remain the same as the previous generation.
