Moto G31 Featuring 50MP Triple-Rear Cameras, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC Launched in India for Rs 12,999

has announced a new smartphone to compete in the budget market in India, by the name of Moto G31. The device debuted in other markets earlier this month, but it has finally come to India.


The device features a punch-hole display, triple rear cameras and more, to take on the likes of Redmi’s Note 10, Realme’s 8i budget handset and the Poco M3 Pro.

For those curious, you can get the device in two different storage variants, with up to 128GB of storage. Here’s everything you need to know about ’s latest budget offering.

G31: Pricing and Availability

The G31 is available in India in two different storage variants, with the base variant featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage retailing for Rs 12,999, with the other variant sporting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on offer for Rs 14,999. You can get it in two hues, namely Sterling Blue and Meteorite Grey. The device will be available starting December 6 on Flipkart.

When it comes to the specifications side of things, the device comes equipped with a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole style notch to the top, with a peak brightness of 700 nits. There is no support for high refresh rate, however.

Moving to the rear of the device, there is a triple-camera stack featuring a primary 50MP shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. To the front is a 13MP front shooter present within the hole-punch notch. MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC is present for power.

Out of the box, the device boots 11, which is a bit disappointing but expected considering the device is a budget offering. There is also a 5000 mAh battery with support for 20W charging, which according to can last for up to 36 hours.

Connectivity-wise, the device features a  USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In other news, today, it seems that the Moto Tab G70 has received approval from the BIS or Bureau of Indian Standards, hinting at an imminent release.

This comes to us via Tipster Yash (@i_hsay) who has seen the Moto Tab G70 LTE on the BIS certification website. The Moto Tab G20 for those curious is a rebrand of a Lenovo tablet, so it is likely that the Moto Tab G70 LTE will also follow the same path.
