Motorola P50 pops-out in a promo video; launching on July 15

Motorola unveiled the Moto One Vision back in May for several markets. However, the company excluded China from this initial rollout. For Lenovo’s domestic market, we expect to see the handset being released as Motorola P50 on July 15.

Today, Lenovo’s VP, Chang Cheng, shared a short promo video on Weibo showcasing the P50 and its key specs.

The video about leaves no doubts that both P50 and Moto One Vision are the same devices. The Motorola P50 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9609 chipset. Furthermore, it ships with a rather unusual 21:9 screen. The screen features a punch-hole camera design to house a 25MP selfie camera. On the back, there’s a 48MP Sony’s IMX586 main camera with OIS. To fuel this package of specs, the handset ships with a 3,500 mAh battery and Android 9 Pie.

The video reiterates the launch date for July 15. Unlike the original Moto One Vision, which ships with a vanilla version of Android, we expect to see a Custom UI on P50. After all, Chinese customers consider the pure Android experience as somewhat lackluster. Instead, Motorola should introduce a very fancy and colorful UI with the Chinese Motorola P50.

While Motorola P50/One Vision specs aren’t a mystery, let’s keep an eye in the news until the actual release on July 15.
