Earlier this year, the Moto G13 hit the market with an HD+ display – not the best resolution, but that's what you got even with the pricier G23 and G53 models. To enjoy FHD+ resolution, you had to opt for the G73. Now, we have the first phone of the Gx4 series, recently unveiled in India – the motorola Moto G14.
The G14 boasts a significant upgrade with its 6.5-inch FHD+ display (20:9), which offers excellent visual quality, using an IPS LCD screen. However, it runs at 60Hz, stepping down from the 90Hz of the G13 – a trade-off we are willing to accept.
Under the hood, the G14 sports a Unisoc T616, a 12nm chipset featuring 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz and 6x A55 at 1.8GHz, along with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. It's not far off from the Helio G85, sharing the same CPU cores and clock speeds, although the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU is different.
Introducing the Motorola Moto G14: The Latest Addition to the Gx4 Series
The phone's 5,000mAh battery offers an impressive 94 hours of music playback or up to 16 hours of video. Charging is faster than the G13, at up to 15W with the provided 20W charger.

In terms of connectivity, the G14 comes with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack with FM radio support. You can also enjoy music through the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Storage and memory-wise, the G14 comes with one configuration only – 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The triple card slot allows you to use two SIMs and one microSD card of up to 1TB.
The camera setup remains the same as the G13, featuring a single cam on the back with a 50MP Quad Pixel sensor (0.64µm native pixels, 1.28µm after binning) and a depth sensor. On the front, there's an 8MP selfie camera (1.12µm), both capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.
Additional features worth mentioning are the IP52 dust and water resistance and the side-mounted fingerprint reader. Furthermore, the G14 is manufactured in India and will be available in Sky Blue and Steel Gray colorways. With Pale Lilac and Butter Cream Vegan Leather versions coming soon.
Pre-orders for the Motorola Moto G14 are currently open on Flipkart. The phone will officially release on August 8 at a price of ₹10,000 (about $120).
