According to reports from China, the BBK-owned company is already preparing its foldable smartphone for the next months. Oppo will opt for a clamshell build instead of the tablet-like design used on the Galaxy Z Fold and Mix Fold series. The new clamshell smartphone will join the likes of Motorola RAZ and Galaxy Z Flip series. Oppo’s foldable smartphone will bring a 7-inch foldable panel on the inside.

As per the report, Oppo’s foldable smartphone will come with an LTPO screen. For those unaware, this is an OLED panel that is more power-efficient than old standards. It is very important for devices boasting small form factors. The new Oppo is likely to be taller and wider than the Galaxy Z Flip and the Moto RAZR smartphones.
