OPPO will be announcing the Reno7 series of smartphones on Nov. 25 in China. The company today confirmed that the Reno7 series will be featuring the world’s first Sony IMX709 cat-eye lens. It appears that this lens will be available for capturing selfies on the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro smartphones.
OPPO claimed that the Sony IMX709 coupled with OPPO’s self-developed RGBW image technology. The lens can capture images with 60 percent increase in light sensitivity and 35 percent reduction in noise.
A recent report revealed that the Reno7 Pro will be equipped with a Sony IMX709 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It remains to be seen whether the Reno7 will also feature the same selfie camera.
