Chinese smartphone maker realme has officially launched the realme 8 5G in India as scheduled. As expected, it is the same phone that was unveiled in Thailand yesterday. For those unaware, this device is nothing but a rebranded realme V13 5G with a different selfie camera.

realme 8 5G Specifications and Features

The newly launched realme 8 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (FHD+), 405 PPI, and 90Hz refresh rate. This display has 600 nits peak brightness, 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, and a punch-hole at the top left corner.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The realme 8 5G is the first smartphone with this chipset in India.

For optics, the device houses a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Whereas, on the front, the phone nests a 16MP shooter inside the punch-hole for selfies and video calls (realme V13 5G has an 8MP selfie camera).
