Realme GT Neo2 pre-orders show nearly half of buyers chose the flashy Black Mint color

Pre-order figures show that nearly half of the buyers are opting for the Black Mint color option of the Realme GT Neo2, revealed Xu Qi, Realme Vice President on Weibo today. He added that the color option helps make the phone have one of the “most recognizable designs of the year.”

The statement is reasonable considering that there aren’t many flashy fluorescent-ish green phones that one can grab. Plus, the black stripes add to the character and give the Realme GT Neo2 a sporty look, that is not unlike its upcoming Mercedes-AMG special edition.

Further, the phone uses a matte glass splicing process for its rear panel. The result of this is AG glass that provides extra grip. For the uninitiated, AG stands for anti-glare and is less reflective and less of a fingerprint magnet when pitched against the regular glass back.

The pricing of the device in China has now been revealed as well and we have listed all of its storage options below:

  • 8+128GB: 2499 Yuan ($386) (starting price 2399 Yuan)
  • 8+256GB: 2699 Yuan ($417) (starting price 2599 Yuan)
  • 12+256GB: 2999 Yuan ($463) (starting price 2899 Yuan)

The Realme GT Neo2 uses a 6.62-inch Samsung E4 display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports HDR10+ and has a peak claimed brightness of 1300 nits. This paired with a 600Hz touch sampling rate is guaranteed to provide an ultra-smooth scrolling or gaming experience.

Other specs include the flagship-level Snapdragon 870 processor, a large 5000mAh battery that can be charged at 65W, and a 64-megapixel primary camera. The phone also uses a ‘diamond ice core cooling system’ that should help it stay cool at all times – whether its regular usage or gaming.
