The upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5g smartphone's global variant has passed through the FCC and IMEI websites before launch. To recap, the Redmi Note 12 series made its debut in the Chinese market last month.
The company launched four Note series phones in the country. This includes the base Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and the Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition.
Now, MIUI tester Kacper Skrzypek claims xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G in India as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. Also, the Indian variant could boast different specs as compared to the Chinese model.
However, a report by 91mobiles suggests the global variants have the codename Ruby just like the Chinese model. In other words, the devices could turn out to be the same.
Notably, Xiaomi is on the verge of bringing the Note 12 series phones into the global market including India sometime next year. In the meantime, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant has been spotted on the FCC and IMEI websites.

The Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant has appeared on the FCC certification website carrying model number 22101316UG. Moreover, the FCC listing suggests the phone will run MIUI 14.

However, the listing does not confirm whether the upcoming handset will boot android 13 out of the box. The device was also spotted on the IMEI database.
The IMEI listing confirmed the moniker and model number of the global variant. Also, the Redmi Note 12 series has received China's 3C approval. The Note 12 Pro+ is likely to support a whopping 210W fast charging.
Regrettably, the FCC and IMEI listings do not divulge any key specifications of the handset. Nevertheless, the Note 12 Pro+ 5G could launch in India in January or February 2023.
It will be interesting to see whether the Indian variant comes with different specs or retain the same specs as the Chinese counterpart.
