Samsung Galaxy A52 (SM-A526B) with 5G support appears on GeekBench

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of another mid-range 5G smartphone – Galaxy A52. It is the successor of the Galaxy A51 which was launched back in December 2019. Samsung also launched a Galaxy A51 5G variant later in April 2020. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G surfaced on Geekbench 5 with model number SM-A526B. The device scored 298 points in the single-core test, and 1001 points in multi-core testing.

According to the GeekBench, Samsung Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A526B) has 6GB RAM and it runs on Android 11. The smartphone houses Qualcomm’s octa-core processor at 1.8GHz as the source code reveals the presence of Adreno 619 GPU. It is assumed that Samsung Galaxy A52 5G comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 SoC. However, the rest of the specifications are still unknown. Of course, the smartphone will come with some upgrades with respect to the Galaxy A51.

Galaxy A51 Features

Samsung Galaxy A51 features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone carries Exynos 9611 SoC and Mali-G72 GPU. The camera section packs a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro camera, and 5MP depth camera. For selfies and video chats, there is a 32MP wide-angle camera with HDR support. It has a 4000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

Galaxy A51 also includes an under-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. The smartphone measures 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs about 172g.

Now talking about the 5G variant of Galaxy A51 that was launched in April 2020. It has almost identical specifications to Galaxy A51 except for the processor and battery. The Galaxy A51 5G carries Exynos 980 SoC built on an 8nm process. The smartphone takes its power from a 4500 mAh battery that has 15W fast charging support.
