Samsung Galaxy S23 series to have a unique “slide to unlock” protective case

South Korean manufacturer, , is getting set to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. According to reports, this device will officially launch on February 1st (early hours of February 2nd in China). At present, the pre-sale posters of the series have been exposed. The pre-sale posters reveal that there will be three models including the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. In addition, the posters from @evleaks also reveal the appearance of the three phones which is consistent with previous renders. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with the S Pen Stylus. Furthermore, there are reports that Samsung will launch a special mobile phone case for the Galaxy S23 series. The name of this case is “Clear Gadget Case (transparent tool protection case)” or “Standing Case with Ring Grip Universal (universal vertical protection case with ring handle)”. This case also comes with a metal ring as well as an LED light.

In addition, the protective case has the words “slide to unlock” engraved next to a white flat touch area. However, the specific function of this button remains unclear. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Standard Edition has four colour options and it supports Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This device also comes with a 6.1-inch 2340 x 1080 resolution 120Hz AMOLED screen. Under the hood, it has a 3900 mAh battery that supports 25W wired and 10W wireless charging. In addition to the flagship processor, this device comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage. In the camera department, this device uses a 50MP main camera in addition to a 12MP and 10MP sensors. On the front, this device comes with a 12MP shooter. The Samsung Galaxy S23 also supports WiFi 6E, IP68 dustproof and waterproof, and UWB.

As the release of the Galaxy S23 series gets closer, news of the new phones continues to leak. Today, the unboxing video of the Galaxy S23 Ultra has leaked. A short unboxing video of the Galaxy S23 Ultra Cotton Edition appeared on Twitter, showing both the box and the phone itself. The back of the device is off-white, while its edges appear to be painted a light gold. The device has four cameras on the back and an S Pen slot at the bottom. The video also shows off the phone's speakers, SIM card slot, primary microphone and USB Type-C port. There's a secondary microphone on the top, and power and volume buttons on the right.
