Several reports and rumours have been aired about samsung's future “dream” Exynos chip for the Galaxy S25. It is expected to be available in 2025 and is predicted to perform far better than the company's earlier Exynos chips. Now, some unusual facts about this chip have come to light.
@Tech Reve, a tech tipster, claims that Samsung and AMD are working on a new GPU for the Exynos 2500 (tentative name). As part of their extended partnership, it will be built on AMD's Radeon tech and focus on boosting efficiency. Although it wasn't stated in the tweet, it is implied that the two firms will focus on optimisation rather than pure performance. It is yet unclear how it will compare against rival GPUs found in apple and Qualcomm chips. However, the results won't be known until the devices are available to users in two years.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Exynos chip with AMD GPU will focus on optimization and not direct performance
Exynos chipsets from previous generations ran worse and used more power than Snapdragon chips. Even worse, users in other regions got better Snapdragon chips. Samsung on the other hand was using these Exynos CPUs in some of its flagship phones. Due to the negative feedback the firm received, it decided to only use Snapdragon chipsets in the Galaxy S23 and S24.
According to reports, Samsung MX put together a team of about 1,000 engineers to work on a specially designed chip. This is a top-of-the-line chip for upcoming Galaxy mobile phones. Later on, the company announced that it intended to work more closely with the Exynos team. This is in order to produce a chip that was more suited for Galaxy phones.
Samsung has not been on top of its game in the chip market for many years. The company has been lagging behind the likes of Qualcomm and MediaTek. Whether or not this new chip will turn things around remains to be seen.
