Samsung Galaxy Z Flip does not support DeX PC?

According recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone appears to be Samsung’s latest smartphone without DeX support. A user recently searched for “DeX” on the Korean version of Galaxy Z Flip, but there was no result. It seems to confirm that the Z Flip device does not have this feature. Samsung DeX is a great feature that helps you connect your smartphone to your laptop for a desktop-like experience. Recall that the South Korean market was one of the earliest to launch the Galaxy Z Flip. In addition, Samsung sold the first 900 units in less than eight hours.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip may get DeX support through a firmware update

Recall that as at the launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold, it didn’t have DeX support. However,  Samsung later added the feature through a firmware update. The Z Flip may have a similar treatment, after all, this is a high-end phone that sells for $ 1,380. Nevertheless, this is not a 100% guarantee that this update will arrive. In addition, the lack of support for DeX at the time of listing is not unique to Samsung foldable display devices. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite also did not launch with this feature even though the feature is already available on the Galaxy A90 5G. Both smartphones uses the same processor – Snapdragon 855 chip. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip uses a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, so technically, this smartphone can support DeX.

In other reports, Samsung is trying to develop a new copy and paste with Windows 10 feature. It will incorporate this feature on its Your Phone App which already works perfectly on Google Play Store. Your Phone app is a simple way to use your Windows desktop to view your Android phone photos without a USB cable. Though, the feature is not 100% ready, it only supports the Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip.
