Xiaomi Civi turned six months old and the company decided it was time to upgrade the smartphone. A new product is in preparation for release, which can enter the market as Xiaomi Civi Pro or Xiaomi Civi 2. It will launch as early as March or April this year.
The first rumors about the upcoming Xiaomi Civi Pro
The smartphone should be awarded a 120-Hz OLED display with a diagonal of 6.55 inches and FullHD + resolution. The Snapdragon 778G chipset or the new Snapdragon 778+ can be the hardware platform. On the back side of Xiaomi Civi Pro or Xiaomi Civi 2, a trio of sensors will be available, where, in addition to the main one, they will offer a wide-angle and a macro module. An optical stub will not be available for the smartphone, this is the prerogative of the flagships.
Xiaomi Civi Pro or Xiaomi Civi 2 should run a preinstalled Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 interface. The battery capacity is not specified, but we can say that it will be at least 4500 mAh and will offer support for fast charging with a capacity of at least 67 watts. It is assumed that the smartphone, like Xiaomi Civi, will become exclusive to the Chinese market.
Xiaomi’s thinnest and lightest smartphone is about to launch
Recall that Xiaomi Civi is positioned as the thinnest and lightest Xiaomi smartphone, and it also received the narrowest “chin” among all Xiaomi smartphones. Evidence about the upcoming release and details about the characteristics was discovered by the Xiaomiui thematic unofficial channel, which regularly posts subsequently confirmed information about both the MIUI shell and the upcoming new Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones.
Also, according to the source, Xiaomi Civi Pro is under development with the code name zijin; its model number is 2203119EC, or K9E for short.
So, the smartphone will receive a 6.5-inch OLED screen with curved edges, Full HD + resolution; and support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a high-quality Synaptics touch panel; which Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi Civi do not have. The hardware basis will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 778+. The main module in the main camera will not support optical image stabilization; ultra wide-angle and macro modules – like Xiaomi Civi and Xiaomi 12 Lite.
Also, Xiaomi Civi Pro will immediately come with a pre-installed proprietary MIUI 13 shell; based on the Android 12 operating system. The out-of-the-box firmware number is V220.127.116.11.SLPCNXM.
The official debut will take place in China in March or April, simultaneously with the Xiaomi Mix 5 series.
