google has recently launched its latest smartphones, the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. As always, Google smartphones are well-known for having excellent photography capabilities, thanks to software processing. The newly launched Pixel 8 series even take image software processing to a whole new level. Google has integrated four AI-powered image processing features into its latest smartphones. According to Google, these new features will make performing complex editing tasks on photos and videos a lot easier.
You can now focus on the key elements of your photos and videos with these features. Like capturing the ideal group picture with everyone's eyes open or minimizing distracting noise in your videos. Let us discuss these four new features below.
A Better Way to Take Group Photos with Google Pixel 8
For those who enjoy group photography, a common challenge often arises. That, you are more likely to take one photo multiple times in order to get the prefect picture. This gets worse if the photo includes kids. The picture will most likely come out with someone looking away or blinking. To tackle this problem once and for all, Google introduces the ‘Best Take' feature. It uses a series of similar photos taken in quick succession to automatically create a composite image with everyone's best expressions. If you prefer a different expression, you can manually choose it from the other photos you took to create your ideal group photo.
Google Pixel 8 Magic Editor Tool
Recently, Google introduced the Magic Editor, an experimental editing feature in Google Photos. This innovative tool harnesses generative AI to simplify intricate edits and help you recreate moments as you remember them. With Magic Editor, tasks like resizing or repositioning subjects in your photos become effortless. Just tap or draw a circle around the object you wish to edit, then move it by dragging or adjust its size by pinching. Furthermore, you can take advantage of context-aware suggestions to enhance lighting and background elements. For instance, you can transform a dull gray sky into a vibrant golden-hour sunset. Magic Editor goes a step further by presenting multiple result options after each edit, allowing you to select the perfect look for your photo.
Gizchina News of the week
Currently, Magic Editor is in its early stage of development at Google Photo Labs. This feature becomes helpful in moments where the outcome of a photo does not seem to match expectations. Google is still working to refine this new feature as time goes by but asks for input and feedback from users in order enhance the feature further. The company has also promised to include more user-friendly generative AI capabilities to the Magic Editor feature over time.
Google Pixel 8 Audio Magic Eraser Tool
Just like uninvited photobombers in your pictures, disruptive background noises in your videos can divert attention away from your intended focus. Utilizing cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, Audio Magic Eraser has the ability to recognize various sounds, such as background conversations, music, or wind. It then categorizes them into separate layers that are adjustable. With just a few simple actions, you can diminish bothersome noises, ensuring that your video's audio meets your desired standards.
Google Pixel 8 Zoom Enhance Feature
The upcoming Zoom Enhance feature, set to arrive later on the Pixel 8 Pro, will enable you to zoom in on any picture and crop it to highlight your desired focal point. Powered by generative AI, Zoom Enhance can cleverly interpolate missing pixel information and predict intricate details, offering greater options for framing your photos and providing increased flexibility to emphasize the most crucial aspects of your image.
Even though this feature is not yet available, Google has stated that the features will begin rolling out on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro from October 12.
Apart from adding these new features to enhance photos on Pixel Devices, Google has also improved the Magic Eraser feature on the Pixel 8 Pro. Thanks to generative AI, Magic Eraser can now assist you in eliminating even larger distractions, including shadows and objects connected to those distractions, resulting in high-quality photos.
