Vivo NEX smartphones will be part of the Vivo X series soon

NEX series smartphones have disappeared from the shelves of ‘s official website. This led to the assumption that the company decided to make changes to its lineup and buried the NEX line, which included top and experimental models.

’s vice president and general manager of brand strategy confirmed this hunch. The company has indeed made the decision to abolish the NEX series. But experiments and the search for new ideas will continue now as part of the new X line. Vivo’s top manager emphasized that despite changes in the company’s smartphone product portfolio, it will continue to create excellent products and experiment with design.

Vivo X Note

As part of the X-series, the flagship X Note, as well as the foldable Vivo X Fold, should be presented. The latter is already known to offer an 8-inch QHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and a 6.5-inch external screen.

The device will be powered by a 4600 mAh battery with fast 80-watt wired charging and 50 W wireless power. The main camera will be quadruple: 50 MP + 48 MP (wide) + 12 MP (telephoto, 2x zoom) + 8 MP (zoom periscope, 5x optical zoom).

X Fold coming soon: the first foldable will be a real top of the range

also plans to bring a foldable smartphone to the market. Already in April last year, there were rumors of a foldable in the plans of the company; intending to enter a sector with great potential that, at the moment, is almost a monopoly of Samsung.

Digital Chat Station has published some interesting information on Weibo on X Fold; the first foldable of the brand that could debut this month alongside the alleged Vivo X Note – ex NEX 5. It should be a smartphone with a 6.5-inch curved external display with FHD + resolution; 120Hz refresh rate and a central hole for the camera.

Inside will be a second screen, this time 8-inch and higher resolution, QHD+; with another hole for the camera in the right half. Both displays will have the fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic, it is said) built-in. On the other hand, the refresh rate remains unchanged, always at 120Hz. The components that we will find under the body are also very promising; starting from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 up to the 4,600mAh battery with fast charging at 80W wired and 50W wireless.

We talked about two holes for the “front” cameras. Unfortunately at the moment, there is no information about the sensors that we will find positioned both; on the external and internal screen; instead, we know what we will find (or we could find, always rumors it is for now) in the rear: 50MP main + 48MP (presumably ultra wide-angle) + 12MP tele with 2x zoom and 8MP tele with 5x zoom.
