Vivo Y31 Standard Edition with Dimensity 700 may launch this week in China

The Vivo Y31s smartphone went official last month in China as the world’s first phone with Snapdragon 480 chip. A product listing of the phone named Vivo Y31s Standard Edition has appeared on the website of China Telecom. It appears that it is a new chipset version of the original Y31s phone.

The model number of Vivo Y31s Standard Edition is V2068A, while the model number of Y31s is V2054A. Both handsets have identical design, which includes a teardrop notch display, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a square-shaped camera module with two cameras and an LED arranged in a triangular manner.

The Vivo Y31s came with Full HD+ resolution support, whereas the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition’s 6.51-inch screen offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The new device is powered by Dimensity 700. The SoC is mentioned with its MT6833 model number in the listing. Apart from these differences, the remaining specs of the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition resemble the Y31s.

The Vivo Y31s Standard Edition is likely to cost lower than the Vivo Y31s, which has a starting price of 1,499 Yuan.
