Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi is getting set to unveil the new MIUI 13 system. According to reports, the company will launch this system alongside the Xiaomi 12 series on December 28th. However, the Xiaomi 12 series may not debut the MIUI 13 system. Recent reports claim that Xiaomi is testing the MIUI 13 system on some models. These models are testing the MIUI 13 system on top of Android 12.
According to reports, Xiaomi is testing MIUI 13 on Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G, Xiaomi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 10S, Redmi K40, and Redmi K40 Pro. The version number is V188.8.131.52.SKXCNXM (X represents the letters of different models, for example, Xiaomi MIX4 is V184.108.40.206.SKMCNXM, the Xiaomi 11 Ultra is V220.127.116.11.SKACNXM). However, the company is testing this system only within its internal team. This system is not available to neither developers nor internal beta testers.
As for what changes the MIUI13 system will bring, it has been confirmed that the new Material You design language of Android 12 will be introduced due to the exposed code information, including small components, automatic switching themes, etc. The MIUI 13 system will also provide virtual RAM memory expansion, and one of the most important innovations is said to be the desktop mode, where users can convert their smartphones to PCs after connecting them to the TV.
MIUI 13 will have multiple changes – the system is stable
Recall that the MIUI 12 system was very problematic and the company had to deal with tons of bugs. In fact, Xiaomi had to release an enhanced version of the MIUI 12.5 which deals with most of the bugs. The Chinese manufacturer has this in mind as it optimizes the MIUI 13 system. Despite MIUI’s issues, it remains one of the best Android skin from Chinese manufacturers. According to Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, “MIUI is making every effort to improve and will definitely do better.”
In addition, Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, attributes the excellent battery performance of the Redmi Note 11 Pro to MIUI’s efforts. According to him, the Redmi Note 11 Pro battery makes more users look forward to the MIUI system. These comments from Xiaomi executives sparks speculations that the MIUI 13 system will come with tons of changes. Of course, it is logical to think that the new system will have a lot of changes. This is because its predecessor did not do much, therefore, it will have a lot to handle.
Furthermore, popular Weibo leakster, @DCS claims that the MIUI13 comes with tons of changes. He further claims that many of the system interfaces have new UX. This Android skin will be based on Android 11 as well as Android 12.
