Yes! Like how TikTok allows users to download reels, Instagram users can store their favorite reels locally. Of course, you will need to be on your mobile device. The announcement came from the CEO of Instagram, Adam Mosseri. And according to the announcement, it’s now possible to download reels on the mobile app. However, the feature currently works in the US region now. But we do expect it to be rolled out worldwide.

So, before download a reel, you need to consider two things. First, you can not download a reel from a private account. Second, users with public accounts can decide not to let other users download their reels. In other words, you might not be able to download all the reels you find on the social media platform.
